There’s a place people go when they’re feeling sad. They might hold the palm of their lover or close their eyes and sigh deeply; there are no rules, only reaction. This book is meant to hold your hand when no one else can. It’s meant to be there despite the weather that rushes around you: the weather that takes life, but also gives it. It’s about losing your loved ones, but also being there for them even in death; whether that means sending prayers or simply remembering. It’s about not letting their legacy end. As a contribution to the life my cousin led and a celebration of her love for animals, I plan on donating 20% of the proceeds to a local animal rescue group.
